School Board Vacancy


                The Dayton School Board announces a Board vacancy and procedure for application by interested residents.  In order to apply for the vacancy the interested resident must be a legally registered voter and must have been a resident within the District for one year immediately preceding the appointment.  The applicant must fill out an application form that is linked to the District web site, or that can be picked up or sent from the District Office.  Applications must be received by October 3rd, 2019, at 3:00 PM.

          Applicants will be asked to attend the October 8th, 2019 Board Meeting to give a brief presentation.  A decision and appointment will be made at the Board meeting on October 8th, 2019.  The School Board appointment will be to fill the remainder of the term vacated by Isaac Kearns.  The term of the appointment is from date of appointment through June 30, 2021.
