Superintendent Monthly Message (English)

Dear Dayton Families,                                                                                            August 11, 2022

The 2022-2023 school year is just around the corner. I hope everyone is having a great summer and is eager for the return to school. I know many of our students took advantage of our summer school offerings and staff was happy and excited to spend time helping students learn.

Our staff have been hard at work all summer cleaning the buildings and getting them ready for staff and students to return in just a few short weeks. In order to smooth the transition from the grade school to the junior high school and the junior high school to the high school we are having the 6th and 9th grade students begin school on Tuesday September 6, 2022. This means that students in grades 7 through 8 and grades 10 through 12 will start school on Wednesday September 7, 2022. This will give the 6th and 9th grade students a day to orient themselves and get acquainted with their new teachers and buildings.
