ParentVUE and StudentVUE
ParentVUE and StudentVUE are web portals that allows parents, guardians, and students access to near real-time information such as grades, class schedules, attendance, report cards and information related to enrollment. Access to this system requires a username and password. Please review the help articles below or contact your student's school office for assistance.

Select either ParentVUE or StudentVUE
Parents and guardians must setup a username and password prior to logging in. If you are a new parent/ guardian to the district, please create a new account during Online Registration (see ParentVUE - Account Setup guide below for more information). Returing students and parents may reach out to your school's main office for assistance.
Mobile App
ParentVUE and StudentVUE are available as a mobile app. This can be downloaded onto your mobile device on the Apple or Android app store. Search for them as ParentVUE or StudentVUE, all one word. The publisher is Edupoint Educational Systems. There is no cost to this app.

Creating Your Account (New Enrolling Parents)
The following applies only to parents or guardians enrolling new students with the Dayton School District.
Click the following link: Online Registration .
Select "Create New Account" on the login screen.

Activating Your Account (Returning Parents)
The following applies only to parent or guardians with students returing to the Dayton School District that have never logged in to ParentVUE. Those that have used ParentVUE in the Dayton School District before may request a password reset or reach out the school's main office for User Name assistance.
Select the "Activate Account" button on the ParentVUE login screen.

Switch Students
The upper left corner of the screen displays the current student of focus. If you have more than one student in the district, select the they will be accessible by selecting the down arrow. This will display a dropdown list of all of your students. Please reach out to your student's office if a child is missing. This feature is specific to ParentVUE.

Language
Menu
The menu on the left lists pages and information depending on your student of focus. If you have more than one student, this information will change depending on the student selected. Some pages may not be used by your school. The top "Home" button will take you back to the ParentVUE or StudentVUE homepage.

- Synergy Mail: This feature is not used by the Dayton School District. We use ParentSquare for most communications.
- Calendar: Displays classes, assignments, and statuses
- Attendance: Displays monthy calendars including absences, tardies, activities, and non-scheduled days.
- Class Schedule: Lists student classes, teacher name, and class times for the current semester
- Course History: Displays Graduation Status, GPA, and Student Course History
- Course Request: Your school may or may not use this. Students use this feature to request courses for the next grading period.
- Grade Book: Lists current grades and recent assignment activity
- Report Card: Displays current grading period report card and GPA
- School Information: Displays address, phone number, and staff list for the school
- Student Information: Displays all student information. Updates can be made on this screen.
- Digital Locker: This feature is not currently in use.
- Documents: Lists documents that are on file. This may include registration information, signed permission slips, or other important documentation.

What do I do if I forgot my StudentVUE or ParentVUE username or password?
ParentVUE users can use the "Forgot Password" feature to recover accounts previously created. Be sure to use the same email that was used during setup. You school's registrar can find your username/ email if it is forgotten.
StudentVUE users can login with their Dayton School District Google account.
Reach out to the registrar at your student's school if you have any issues with StudentVUE or ParentVUE.

Is ParentVUE the same as ParentSquare?
The Dayton School District uses both ParentVUE and ParentSquare. ParentVUE is used for all things related to student information: grades, attendances, class schedule, and enrollment. ParentSquare is our primary communication app. This includes notes from the schools, district, or staff and alerts like weather delays. Both ParentVUE and ParentSquare can be accessed as an mobile app or a web browser.
